The tally of individuals hurt during a car incident at Liverpool FC's Premier League title parade has now risen to 109, as confirmed by police. The incident occurred at approximately 18:00 BST on 26 May when authorities were alerted to a car crashing into a crowd of Liverpool fans who were celebrating on Water Street.

On Friday, Paul Doyle, aged 53, appeared in Liverpool Magistrates' Court and Liverpool Crown Court. He is facing serious charges including wounding with intent, causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent, attempting to cause GBH with intent, and dangerous driving. The dangerous driving charge highlights concerns about Doyle's driving not only on Water Street but also on his home street of Burghill Road and connecting roads.

Initially, police reported 79 individuals were injured in the event on Monday evening. However, the number has increased as more people with minor injuries have self-reported to hospitals. Authorities are continuing their efforts to assess the situation fully, urging anyone with information about the crash to come forward immediately.

Liverpool authorities remain focused on understanding the full scope of the injuries and ensuring those affected receive appropriate care. They stress the importance of community cooperation in advancing the investigation.
