The Carolina Panthers will face the New Orleans Saints this week without the services of tight ends Tommy Tremble and Ian Thomas, both of whom have been ruled out due to injuries. Tremble is dealing with a hamstring and back issue, while Thomas has been sidelined with a calf injury. The absence of these key players leaves the Panthers with only three healthy tight ends for Sunday's game.

Rookie Ja'Tavion Sanders, who recently joined the team, along with Jordan Matthews and newcomer Messiah Swinson, will shoulder the responsibilities at the tight end position while Tremble and Thomas recover. Sanders, a promising young talent, will have an opportunity to showcase his skills, while Matthews and Swinson will need to step up in their respective roles.

While the tight end position is thin due to injury concerns, the Panthers have received some positive news on other injury fronts. Backup tackle Yosh Nijman, who has been dealing with a tibia issue, was able to participate in Friday's practice on a limited basis. However, his availability for Sunday's game remains questionable.

Running back Miles Sanders, who was a full participant in Friday's practice, has overcome a finger injury and is expected to be available for the game against the Saints. Similarly, nickel corner Troy Hill, who had been nursing a heel injury, also participated fully and is ready to take the field on Sunday.

The Panthers will rely on their remaining tight ends and the depth of their roster to overcome the absence of Tremble and Thomas. It will be crucial for Sanders, Matthews, and Swinson to establish a strong connection with quarterback Sam Darnold, especially in the red zone where tight ends play a vital role.

As the Panthers gear up for a tough divisional matchup against the Saints, their tight end depth will be put to the test. The team will hope for a speedy recovery for both Tremble and Thomas, while remaining focused on executing their game plan and securing a victory.
