### Giants’ Malik Nabers to Miss Second Game Due to Concussion; Colts’ QB Richardson a Game-Time Decision
New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers has been officially ruled out of Sunday night’s matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. Giants’ head coach Brian Daboll confirmed that Nabers remains in the same stage of concussion protocol, sidelining him for a second consecutive game. The standout rookie, who leads the NFL with 35 receptions and ranks eighth in receiving yards with 386, suffered the injury during Week 4 against the Dallas Cowboys. Nabers’ absence comes after he missed last week's victory over the Seattle Seahawks.
The injury woes for the Giants do not stop with Nabers. Linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux is currently week-to-week following wrist surgery to repair a fractured scaphoid bone. The team's medical staff has yet to determine a return timeline, and there is uncertainty about whether he will need to be placed on injured reserve.
Meanwhile, the Indianapolis Colts are closely monitoring the health of their starting quarterback, Anthony Richardson. Richardson sustained an oblique injury in Week 4 against the Pittsburgh Steelers and subsequently missed last week’s contest against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Head coach Shane Steichen indicated that Richardson will be a game-time decision for Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans. Richardson expressed optimism, noting significant improvement in his condition and emphasizing his commitment to staying prepared through daily work with the trainers and review sessions in the film room.
Colts running back Jonathan Taylor will also miss his second straight game due to a high ankle sprain. The injury affects the same ankle that has troubled Taylor in the past, though reports suggest it is not as severe this time. The exact duration of Taylor's absence remains uncertain.
As for the Pittsburgh Steelers, quarterback Russell Wilson is edging closer to making his season debut. Wilson, who has been recovering from a calf injury, participated fully in practices this week and expressed confidence in his readiness to play. While he has been the team's emergency quarterback thus far, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin indicated that Wilson is likely to be active for Sunday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
