The Indiana Fever are set to receive maximum exposure this upcoming WNBA season, with 36 out of their 40 games being featured by the league's national broadcast and streaming partners. The WNBA recently unveiled its national broadcast schedule for 2024, revealing that 25 regular-season games and the entirety of the playoffs will be aired on ESPN/ABC platforms.

The Fever, widely projected to select Iowa standout Caitlin Clark with the No. 1 pick in the upcoming WNBA draft, are expected to significantly boost their visibility and ratings. Clark would join forces with last year's No. 1 pick and rookie of the year, Aliyah Boston, adding further excitement to the team.

The Fever's increased exposure comes with the anticipation of the team making the playoffs for the first time since the retirement of franchise legend Tamika Catchings in 2016. With both Boston (South Carolina) and Clark (Iowa) on the roster, it also presents an opportunity to unite two of the largest women's college basketball fan bases.

Indiana will be showcased in various high-profile matchups, with eight games set to air on ABC, ESPN, and ESPN2, 13 games on NBA TV, eight on ION, four on Prime Video, two on CBS, and one on CBS Sports Network. These strategic placements will enable the Fever to tap into a broader audience base and showcase their talents to a national audience.

Meanwhile, the defending champions, the Las Vegas Aces, led by two-time WNBA MVPs A'ja Wilson and Candace Parker, will have 35 of their 40 games broadcast on various platforms. Additionally, New York, supported by two-time MVP Breanna Stewart, will have 31 games presented on the league's broadcast and streaming platforms.

The regular season will see Las Vegas and New York face each other three times, including televised matchups on ABC, ESPN, and CBS. These games will likely reignite the intense rivalry between the two teams, who clashed in the WNBA Finals last season.

Other notable teams to receive significant coverage include the Dallas Wings, led by scoring sensation Arike Ogunbowale, and the Phoenix Mercury, where new additions such as Kahleah Copper and Natasha Cloud join star center Brittney Griner. Both teams will be featured 25 times by the league's broadcast and streaming partners, further cementing their presence in the national spotlight.

The highly anticipated WNBA season will kick off on May 14 with an ESPN2 doubleheader. The first game will witness Caitlin Clark's professional debut as the Indiana Fever take on the Connecticut Sun, guided by 2023 MVP runner-up Alyssa Thomas. Following that, the Las Vegas Aces will celebrate their championship and unveil their banner as they host the Phoenix Mercury.

With a star-studded rookie class and the buzz generated from an intense MVP race last season, the commissioner of the WNBA, Cathy Engelbert, expressed excitement about the league's broadcast and streaming partners offering a significant national platform to showcase the league's superstars, rising stars, and rivalries.

Moreover, the WNBA All-Star Game, scheduled for July 20, will be televised in primetime on ABC. The game will feature the All-Stars on the USA Basketball's women's national team against the remaining All-Stars. Additionally, the skills challenge and the 3-point contest will take place the day before, on July 19, also in primetime on ESPN.

After the All-Star Game, the WNBA season will pause for the Paris Olympics, resuming on August 15 with a marquee matchup between the New York Liberty and the Los Angeles Sparks, which will be showcased on ESPN.

With an exciting lineup of games, star players, and increased visibility for teams like the Indiana Fever, the 2024 WNBA season promises to be a thrilling spectacle for basketball fans across the country.
