Hyundai has announced a refresh for its popular compact pickup truck, the Santa Cruz. Introduced just three years ago as a 2022 model, the 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz comes with several updates that enhance its desirability and overall experience.

The styling of the new Santa Cruz has received subtle changes, with a boxier and more truck-like front end shared with the refreshed Tucson. While the differences may not be immediately noticeable, Hyundai now offers two new exciting colors - Rockwood Green and Canyon Red - to choose from, adding a touch of variety to the car market dominated by grayscale options.

Perhaps the biggest news regarding the 2025 Santa Cruz is the updated off-road-focused XRT version. It features a more distinctive grille and front bumper design, front tow hooks, new 18-inch wheels, and all-terrain tires. These enhancements, along with an improved approach angle, provide better off-roading capabilities. However, it's important to note that the Santa Cruz XRT is not designed to compete with the likes of Subaru Foresters or Jeep Wranglers in extreme off-road scenarios.

Inside the Santa Cruz, drivers will appreciate the wider driver display and infotainment screen, now measuring 12.3 inches. The controls, air conditioning vents, and storage options have also been updated to enhance convenience and functionality. Additionally, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come as standard, and a new driver monitoring system ensures attentiveness while behind the wheel.

While Hyundai has yet to announce pricing details, it is likely that the refreshed Santa Cruz will be priced similarly to the outgoing model considering the lack of significant changes. However, customers opting for the premium XRT version may expect a slightly higher price tag. Official pricing information is expected closer to the release date, which is anticipated to be sometime this summer.

The refreshed 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz presents a more desirable and enjoyable driving experience with its subtle updates and off-road improvements. Car enthusiasts and potential buyers eager to get their hands on Hyundai's compact pickup truck can look forward to the official pricing details in the coming months.
