Lionsgate has added fresh talent to the cast of its much-anticipated film adaptation of Suzanne Collins' novel, "The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping." Molly McCann and Iona Bell have been confirmed for pivotal roles in the movie, portraying Louella and her Capitol-assigned lookalike, Lou Lou, respectively. This news was revealed exclusively by The Hollywood Reporter.

The film, directed by Francis Lawrence, will debut in theaters on November 20, 2026. It features a robust ensemble cast including Joseph Zada, Whitney Peak, Mckenna Grace, Jesse Plemons, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Maya Hawke, Lili Taylor, and Ben Wang. Ralph Fiennes has also joined the cast as the villainous President Snow, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

"Sunrise on the Reaping," adapted by screenwriter Billy Ray, returns audiences to Panem, focusing on the events of the 50th Hunger Games, set 24 years before the story of Katniss Everdeen. The franchise, which began with the 2012 film "The Hunger Games" and starred Jennifer Lawrence, has seen massive success, collectively grossing over $3.3 billion worldwide.

Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson are producing the project under the Color Force banner, with Cameron MacConomy serving as executive producer. Meredith Wieck and Scott O'Brien are overseeing the film for Lionsgate, ensuring the legacy of Suzanne Collins’ world continues to captivate audiences.
