**The "Real Housewives" Franchise Expands to London with Hayu's First Original Series**

In a landmark move for the "Real Housewives" franchise, London will be the latest addition to the series roster. "The Real Housewives of London," set to premiere exclusively on Hayu in late 2025, is the streaming service's inaugural original series. Production will be handled by Monkey, the same producer behind the popular British reality show "Made in Chelsea."

The exciting news was unveiled during Andy Cohen's panel at the first-ever Hayu FanFest in London, an event that quickly sold out and featured appearances from "Real Housewives" stars Lisa Barlow, Sutton Stracke, Jessel Taank, and Ashley Darby. Hayu, NBCUniversal's dedicated all-reality streaming service, is currently in the casting phase for the new series, with production anticipated to start in the first quarter of 2025.

Hendrik McDermott, Managing Director of Hayu and EMEA Networks and International Direct-to-Consumer at NBCUniversal, emphasized the significance of this new venture. "Tonight's announcement of 'The Real Housewives of London' is Hayu's first-ever commission of an original series and yet another key milestone in the growth story of our all-reality streaming service," he stated. McDermott highlighted London as a prime location given its importance to Hayu's market strategy.

Helen Kruger Bratt, Managing Director of Monkey, expressed her enthusiasm for the new series. "We are delighted to bring fans 'The Real Housewives of London' thanks to the new U.K. commission with Hayu," she said. Kruger Bratt promised that fans would not be disappointed by the latest addition to the franchise.

The "Real Housewives" franchise has numerous international versions, including editions in Athens, Vancouver, Melbourne, Budapest, Amsterdam, Johannesburg, Rome, Lagos, and Munich. The longest-running international edition is "The Real Housewives of Cheshire," which focuses on the lives of women in the English county and has aired for 17 seasons.
