In a recent interview with NYLON, Gwen Stefani, the 54-year-old singer and fashion designer, addressed rumors surrounding her marriage to country star Blake Shelton, 47. Despite the speculation, Stefani made it clear that she has no doubts about her love for Shelton but admitted to feeling vulnerable at times.
Stefani shared that she had questioned herself during those moments, thinking, "Am I just getting older? Am I still cute?" These insecurities, she said, led her to create drama in her mind and feel paranoid about her relationship. However, she emphasized that she is in love with her best friend and acknowledged that these negative thoughts were simply overthinking.
The couple's strong bond and aligned values, according to Stefani, make them resilient to outside opinions. She brushed off recent rumors of a divorce, stating, "The truth is the truth, and we know what that is." Stefani and Shelton met in 2014 while working as coaches on the NBC reality competition series "The Voice."
Prior to her relationship with Shelton, Stefani was married to Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale, with whom she has three sons: Kingston, 17, Zuma, 15, and Apollo, 10. The couple went through a divorce in 2016. Shelton, on the other hand, was previously married to fellow country star Miranda Lambert, with their marriage ending in 2015.
Stefani opened up about how her life fell apart during her split from Rossdale, calling it a "reset" moment. However, finding love with Shelton was a surprising and incredible experience for her. She described feeling at home with him and expressed gratitude for experiencing love like that for the first time.
Despite facing occasional insecurities, Stefani's interview highlights the deep love and commitment she shares with Shelton. They continue to defy rumors and remain focused on their relationship.
