**Grimes Sparks Debate After Claiming Pregnancy Altered Her Sexuality**

Grimes, the 36-year-old musician and former partner of Elon Musk, has stirred controversy by claiming that her sexual orientation shifted following her pregnancies. The artist, who has three children with the Tesla CEO, shared her thoughts on X (formerly Twitter), attributing the change to potential hormonal influences.

Grimes, whose real name is Claire Elise Boucher, revealed an unexpected shift in her sexuality after welcoming her children X Æ A-Xii, four, Exa Dark Sideræl, two, and Techno Mechanicus, two. "I became way less gay after I was pregnant," she posted on October 22. She went on to explain that while her focus on creative activities like reading and writing had increased, her ability to concentrate on technical matters had sharply declined, questioning whether these changes could be linked to hormonal shifts.

The statement ignited a flurry of responses from Grimes' 1.3 million followers, many of whom speculated about the role of maternal hormones in her experience. Grimes also mentioned a noticeable drop in her testosterone levels, prompting one user to comment on the influence of progesterone, a hormone associated with pregnancy and menstruation known to affect libido, though not necessarily sexual orientation.

Opinions varied, with some suggesting that her relationship with Musk might have contributed to her changing feelings. However, Grimes rejected this notion, arguing that her close relationship with Musk should logically have made her feel "more gay." One follower shared a personal story of how they mistook their own bisexuality for a solely heterosexual orientation due to a focus on relationships with men, but later realized their mistake after self-reflection.

Another commenter humorously expressed disbelief, while a more skeptical follower recommended consulting a doctor rather than relying on social media for answers. Grimes, however, expressed interest in the various theories, citing research on gray matter loss and improved neuroplasticity during pregnancy.

The former couple, who have three children together, made headlines last year when Grimes sued Musk for primary physical custody and joint legal custody of their children. This latest admission from the "Genesis" creator adds yet another layer to their already complex public narrative.
