**Jordan Love’s Groin Injury Not Expected to Sideline Him Long Term, Jaire Alexander Also Making Progress**

Green Bay, Wis. – Quarterback Jordan Love of the Green Bay Packers might not be out for long after a groin injury sustained during Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to a source who informed ESPN. Tests conducted on Monday revealed that the injury is a strain without significant damage, and Love’s ability to play in the upcoming NFC North showdown against the Detroit Lions will hinge on his recovery throughout the week.

With the Packers holding a 6-2 record, Love's potential absence on Sunday would be mitigated by the team's upcoming bye week. Thus, if he does miss the game against the 6-1 Lions, it’s likely to be the only match he sits out. Should Love be unable to play, Malik Willis, who stepped in during the Jaguars game, is slated to start.

In another injury update, cornerback Jaire Alexander's knee issue, which arose during the final defensive play on Sunday, appears to be less severe than initially feared. Tests did not reveal significant concerns, but his availability for the game against the Lions remains uncertain. The Packers will closely observe his condition and manage his soreness throughout the week.

Love’s injury occurred in the opening drive of the game against the Jaguars. He managed to play through the first half but left the field limping after the first snap of the third quarter and did not return. Despite being kept on the sideline for the remainder of the game, the Packers never ruled him out. Notably, Love threw his ninth interception of the season two series after showing signs of the groin strain but did not discuss his injury with reporters post-game.

As the Packers prepare for their critical matchup against the Lions, both Love's and Alexander's progress will be closely monitored, with their participation hinging on their recovery in the coming days.
