In anticipation of the prestigious Masters tournament, golf enthusiasts are examining the recent form and past performance of some notable players. Let's delve into the details and see what insights we can glean.

Adam Hadwin has been in good form lately, with two top-5 finishes in his last four starts. However, his previous appearance at the Masters in 2020 was disappointing, as he missed the cut due to his struggles with ball-striking. Sergio Garcia, on the other hand, had a near miss at the LIV Miami tournament, which indicates that he may be finding his groove. Nevertheless, Garcia has missed four out of his last five Masters cuts.

Thorbjørn Olesen had a decent showing in his last Augusta National outing in 2019, finishing in a respectable tied-21st position. Additionally, he recently achieved a T-14 finish at the Valero tournament, breaking a three-event streak of missed cuts. Justin Rose, a Masters veteran, has a strong track record of making the cut, having done so in 16 of his 18 attempts. However, his form is a concern, given his relatively low ranking in strokes gained approach and two consecutive missed cuts on the Tour.

South African youngster Garrick Higgo, standing tall at 6-foot-9, possesses impressive length and a skillful short game. He even led a major championship after the first round in the 2023 Open Championship. Meanwhile, Danny Lee made a promising debut at the Masters in 2022, finishing tied-14th. However, his performance has dipped since then, especially in hitting greens, where he is currently below a 64% success rate.

In a recent tournament in San Antonio, Denny McCarthy showcased his potential with a strong finish, although a missed wedge shot cost him the win. Nonetheless, McCarthy enters his Masters debut with top 30 rankings in total strokes gained and is considered one of the Tour's best putters.

Max Homa has struggled at the Masters, with his best finish being a tied-43rd in four attempts. Jason Day has been seen practicing at Augusta National since at least Friday during the Augusta National Women's Amateur. Day has been focusing on refining his short game, which has yielded a top-10 performance this year. However, his most recent Masters results have been less than stellar, with a tied-39th position in 2020.

Lastly, Tommy Fleetwood, despite his T-7 finish at Valero, faces a challenge in strokes gained approach, ranking at number 165 in the category leading up to the Masters.

As the players fine-tune their skills and refine their strategies, all eyes will be on the Masters tournament to see who rises to the occasion and takes home the coveted green jacket.
