For the second consecutive week, the Pittsburgh Steelers will host a primetime game against a New York team. This Week 8 clash will see the New York Giants attempting to disrupt the momentum of the home side on Monday Night Football. The Steelers, currently at a promising 5-2, are riding high with back-to-back games scoring more than 30 points. On the other hand, the Giants are reeling with a 2-5 record after managing a meager three points in their last game against Philadelphia. They head to Pittsburgh with a clear intent for redemption.

A key player to watch is Steelers' running back Najee Harris, who seems to have finally found his groove within the offensive framework. Harris, who did not score a touchdown in the first five weeks, has now secured touchdowns in the last two games. With the Giants struggling significantly against the run, conceding an average of 138.1 yards per game—25th in the NFL—it looks likely that Harris will continue his scoring streak.

Tight end Pat Freiermuth also appears set for a noteworthy game. With Russell Wilson joining the lineup last week, Freiermuth recorded 51 yards from just two catches, underscoring Wilson's preference for targeting tight ends. Freiermuth has consistently been a reliable target, failing to hit his over in receiving yards only three times this season, with one miss by a narrow 0.5 yards. As he and Wilson build their connection, the outlook for Freiermuth’s production only broadens.

Moreover, the Giants' running game presents an interesting scenario. Devin Singletary, who recently returned from injury, had an underwhelming performance with just 18 yards from five attempts against the Eagles. Contrarily, rookie Tyrone Tracy Jr. shone in Singletary’s absence, racking up 179 yards and a touchdown over 35 attempts in two games. With Tracy performing so well, it’s plausible the Giants will lean towards the rookie, likely reducing Singletary's contributions and overall rush yards.

As the Giants and Steelers prepare to battle it out on Monday night, it's clear that the game will showcase several intriguing player dynamics and statistics. All eyes will be on the Steelers to continue their high-scoring streak and the Giants to pull off a much-needed upset.
