In the latest US LBM Coaches Poll after Week 4 of college football, Georgia maintains its top position, receiving 35 out of 55 first-place votes. The Bulldogs used their bye week to prepare for the upcoming top-five showdown against No. 4 Alabama. Meanwhile, Texas sits at No. 2 after a convincing victory over UL-Monroe, narrowing the gap with Georgia by garnering 18 first-place votes. Ohio State follows closely behind at No. 3, securing the remaining two first-place nods as they gear up for their Big Ten opener against Michigan State next week.

Mississippi holds onto the fifth spot in the rankings, while Tennessee moves up to No. 6, surpassing Oregon. The SEC continues to dominate the rankings, boasting five teams in the top six. However, Missouri slips to No. 11 after a tight overtime win against Vanderbilt. The top 10 is rounded out by Penn State, Miami (Fla.), and Utah, showcasing a mix of powerhouse programs vying for playoff contention.

In Week 4, Michigan made significant strides in the rankings, climbing five spots to land at No. 12 after a notable victory over Southern California, which dropped to No. 16. On the other hand, Kansas State plummeted 11 positions to No. 25 following a tough loss to Brigham Young, who enters the poll at No. 22. Additionally, Illinois joins the rankings at No. 21 after an overtime victory against Nebraska on Friday night. Unfortunately, both Nebraska and Memphis fell out of the top 25 after their recent performances.
