**Gene Simmons Faces Backlash for Comments on "Dancing With the Stars"**

In a recent episode of "Dancing With the Stars" featuring a hair metal theme, guest judge Gene Simmons sparked controversy with his remarks about the looks of several contestants. Viewers were quick to take to social media to express their displeasure.

During the Oct. 8 episode, Simmons, 75, who is best known as a member of the rock band KISS, made remarks that many found inappropriate. For instance, he commented on the appearance of retired NFL star Danny Amendola and professional dancer Witney Carson, saying, "This is a brand new experience for me, and it's difficult to look at you and figure out which one is more hot, hot, hot." He added, "Danny, I'm telling you, you're right next to somebody, one of the more beautiful women on the planet."

These comments did not sit well with many viewers. One person tweeted, "Gene Simmons comments about the ladies are giving the energy of the gross uncle who corners you at the reunion #DWTS." Another wrote, "Gene Simmons is seriously sucking all the energy out of the ballroom with his creepy comments about the female dancers."

Simmons' critique extended to actress Chandler Kinney and professional dancer Brandon Armstrong. After their Jive routine set to a cover of Twisted Sister's "We're Not Gonna Take It," Simmons told Kinney, "Chandler, you've fogged up my glasses. I don't know what to tell you. You move me, not just with your gyrations and so on, but your beautiful face and how you were into the emotion of it."

Following the show, Kinney and Armstrong discussed their reactions to Simmons' comments. Armstrong particularly noted his discomfort, stating, "I said, 'Hold up now.' I have two little sisters. I heard it. I said, 'Wait, wait, wait.'"

E! News has sought comments from representatives for Simmons and ABC but has not received a response. The episode and Simmons' comments continue to be a topic of conversation and debate among fans and viewers alike.
