### Hard Landing Sparks Fire at Las Vegas Airport
LAS VEGAS - A concerning incident unfolded at Harry Reid International Airport when a Frontier Airlines flight made a hard landing, causing a fire on Saturday afternoon. The aircraft, Frontier flight 1326, had arrived from San Diego around 3 p.m.
Reports indicate that upon touching down, the pilots detected smoke and promptly declared an emergency. Fortunately, all 190 passengers and seven crew members were safely evacuated, and no injuries have been reported.
Kevin Joseif, one of the passengers, shared his harrowing experience of the unexpected event. "When we touched down, it was a very hard landing followed by a lot of shaking of the plane," Joseif recounted. "The last thing we expected was to land in Vegas and be surrounded by fire vehicles." Joseif and his family were excited to celebrate his brother's birthday in Las Vegas, a plan now overshadowed by the dramatic landing.
Following the incident, Frontier Airlines provided several options for passengers who had connecting flights. These included flight cancellations with refunds, credits, or rebookings on alternate airlines. Despite these accommodations, the incident has left many shaken.
"My whole family is shaken up. We are talking about getting a van and driving home because we don't want to fly again after that," Joseif stated, revealing the lasting impact of the event on his family's travel plans.
As of the time of the report, the runway remains closed while investigations and safety checks are conducted.
