In an exclusive update, it has been revealed that Francis Ford Coppola's highly anticipated passion project, Megalopolis, has secured a series of distribution deals following its successful world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival. The film, with a budget of $120 million, garnered significant attention at the festival and is now set to be showcased to audiences worldwide.

The list of new distribution deals includes Madman Entertainment for Australia, September Films for Benelux, Profilm for Bulgaria, Film Europe for the Czech Republic and Slovakia, MCF Megacom Film for Ex-Yugoslavia, Feelgood Entertainment for Greece, Mozinet for Hungary, Lev Cinemas for Israel, Facility Event for Morocco, Midas Filmes for Portugal, Independenta Film for Romania, Njutafilms for Scandinavia, and Bir Film for Turkey.

These distributors join the previously announced partners who acquired the film prior to its world premiere. Constantin Film secured distribution rights for Germany and all German-speaking territories, including Switzerland and Austria. Eagle Pictures acquired the rights for Italy, while Tripictures obtained distribution rights for Spain. Entertainment Film Distributors Limited has UK distribution rights, and Le Pacte has secured the rights for France.

The new distribution deals were made possible through the efforts of Barry Hirsch, Francis Ford Coppola's long-time lawyer, and Vincent Maraval, president of Goodfellas (ex-Wild Bunch International). Hirsch and Maraval are presently engaged in advanced negotiations with distributors in Japan, China, South Korea, Southeast Asia, Poland, Latin America, and the Middle East.

Megalopolis, written, produced, and directed by Francis Ford Coppola himself, boasts an impressive ensemble cast that includes acclaimed actors Adam Driver, Giancarlo Esposito, Nathalie Emmanuel, Aubrey Plaza, Shia LaBeouf, Jon Voight, Laurence Fishburne, Talia Shire, Jason Schwartzman, Kathryn Hunter, Grace VanderWaal, Chloe Fineman, James Remar, D.B. Sweeney, and Dustin Hoffman.

Described as a Roman epic fable set in an imagined Modern America, Megalopolis tells the story of the City of New Rome facing a transformative moment. The film explores the conflict between Cesar Catilina, a visionary artist striving for a utopian future, and Mayor Franklyn Cicero, who clings to a regressive status quo. Caught in the midst of this clash is socialite Julia Cicero, the mayor's daughter, torn between her loyalty to her father and her love for Cesar.

With its impressive lineup of international distribution deals, Megalopolis is poised to become a highly anticipated release for audiences worldwide. As negotiations for further distribution continue, fans eagerly anticipate its future journey as it prepares to captivate audiences with its bold vision and narrative storytelling.
