Four Dead, Two Critically Injured in Wrong-Way Crash on Interstate 95 South in West Haven

Four individuals tragically lost their lives and two others sustained severe injuries in a devastating crash that occurred on Interstate 95 South in West Haven on Sunday morning. The incident, involving a wrong-way driver, took place around 1:20 a.m. State police reported that a Chevrolet Silverado was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes when it collided with a Nissan Altima in the left lane. Subsequently, the Chevrolet Silverado veered into the center lane and struck a Nissan Sentra. The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado and three occupants of the Nissan Altima were the ones who lost their lives in the collision. The identities of the deceased have not been disclosed, while the two individuals from the Nissan Sentra were rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Following the crash, all lanes of I-95 South were closed for several hours before being reopened.
