### Former UFC Champion BJ Penn Arrested Twice in Three Days on Abuse Charges
In a troubling string of events, former UFC champion BJ Penn has been arrested twice within a span of three days in Hawaii on allegations of abuse of a family or household member. According to online records, the 46-year-old was first detained on Sunday, then released on a $2,000 bail. Shockingly, he was arrested again the following day and released on a $1,000 bail.
A video posted to Penn's social media platform appears to capture the moment when law enforcement officers handcuffed and escorted him out of his home on Sunday. This adds a visual testimony to his turbulent recent encounters with the law.
Penn, who had retired from professional Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) in 2019, has recently taken to social media with worrying claims that several family members have gone missing. According to him, imposters have replaced these relatives in a maneuver aimed at seizing his inheritance. Just last month, he implored the Hilo Police Department to look into what he alleged were the murders of his family members.
"If I harm any of these people that are acting like my mom or my brothers, I go to jail and lose everything. If they harm me, nothing will happen to them and I lose everything," Penn wrote on Instagram on April 8. He went on to call for assistance from his fellow black belts who serve as police officers, urging them to help investigate and locate his real family members.
Penn is widely renowned as one of the greatest lightweights in UFC history, having held both the lightweight and welterweight titles. However, his career came to an unfortunate close with a seven-fight losing streak between 2011 and 2019, which included three knockout losses.
This series of arrests and alarming social media posts paints a concerning picture for the former champion, who was once celebrated for his skill inside the octagon but now finds himself embroiled in personal and legal turmoil.
