Former NFL running back and Super Bowl champion, Terrell Davis, found himself in a distressing situation after being handcuffed and taken off a United Airlines flight earlier this month. In a recent development, Davis disclosed that United Airlines had subsequently placed him on their "No Fly List," compounding what he describes as an "insult to injury." The incident in question saw Davis being removed from the flight in a dramatic fashion, which he alleges was racially motivated.

Taking to social media to address the issue, the Hall of Fame athlete shared his frustrations, revealing that he had received a letter from United Airlines informing him of his placement on the "No Fly List." United Airlines has since issued an apology for the incident, stating that the letter was generated automatically and was promptly rescinded. The airline also confirmed that the flight attendant involved in the altercation is no longer employed by United.

The day following the incident, Davis received the communication placing him on the "No Fly List," causing further distress to him and his family. In response to this, Davis expressed his determination to seek justice not only for himself but for all passengers who may encounter similar injustices. United Airlines reiterated their apology to Davis and affirmed their commitment to reviewing their response protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of their customers and crew.

The encounter took place on July 13 as Davis, accompanied by his three children, landed at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California. Following an altercation with a flight attendant onboard the United flight, law enforcement personnel apprehended Davis upon arrival. The Broncos legend has been vocal about the role of race in the incident, stating his belief that racial bias influenced the handling of the situation.

United Airlines responded to the incident earlier this month, acknowledging that the encounter did not align with their service standards. The FBI confirmed their involvement in responding to an alleged assault during the flight, with Davis being cooperative during questioning and subsequently released to continue his travels. Davis, who played all seven NFL seasons with the Denver Broncos, continues to advocate for equality and fair treatment for all airline passengers.
