In an emotional Instagram video posted on Tuesday, former NBA player and Duke basketball standout Kyle Singler voiced deep concerns over his safety and well-being, garnering significant support from the basketball community. In the video, the 36-year-old was visibly distressed and shared that he felt his voice was "again silenced."

Singler openly expressed the anguish he has been experiencing, stating, "I have been mistreated and abused, neglected, made into a mental example. And I fear for my life every day. And people in my community make me look out as if I'm going to be someone that's going to be a problem and make things difficult for people when I'm only trying to be helpful."

His heartfelt message did not go unnoticed; the video has been shared nearly 12,000 times as of Wednesday afternoon. Prominent figures from the basketball world, including Miami Heat forward Kevin Love, Philadelphia 76ers center Andre Drummond, and former NBA forward Chandler Parsons, have all shown their support.

Kevin Love took to X, urging others to support Singler: "To everyone who has spent time with Kyle Singler and whose lives he has touched - please shower him with the love and support he needs+deserves. I would not be who I am today without him. I am forever indebted and love him." Echoing these sentiments, Drummond declared, "You aren't alone brother! I'm here for you," while Parsons called for assistance from the NBA and The National Basketball Players Association (NBPA), stating, "HELP @NBA @TheNBPA. @KyleSingler needs you. we're with you buddy."

Singler followed up his initial video with two more messages. In the second video, he reiterated many of the points he made initially, while in the third, he offered prayers and gratitude. He advised his viewers, "Never sacrifice who you are, lead with your heart, follow your gut, trust your intuition."

Kyle Singler’s basketball achievements include being part of Duke’s 2010 national championship team and earning Most Outstanding Player of the NCAA Tournament. Drafted 33rd overall in 2011, Singler played three seasons with the Detroit Pistons, making the All-Rookie second team in 2013, and later played parts of four seasons with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
