As the anticipation builds for the start of the 2024 National Football League season, Pro Football Network (PFN) has released its list of the top 100 players, sparking discussions among football enthusiasts. The list, compiled by the PFN staff, aims to recognize the most talented and productive athletes from every team. How did the Miami Dolphins fare on this prestigious list? Let's find out.

Surpassing his fellow Dolphins teammates, wide receiver Tyreek Hill emerged as Miami's highest-ranked player, securing the coveted seventh spot overall. While Hill showcased his outstanding abilities, it should be noted that he was outranked by Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings, who claimed the sixth spot as the highest-ranked receiver. Additionally, CeeDee Lamb of the Dallas Cowboys earned the title of the third best wide receiver, landing at number 14 on the list.

PFN's evaluation also recognized the exceptional skills of Miami's defensive players. Sauce Gardner of the New York Jets was acknowledged as the top-rated cornerback, holding the 20th position on the list. Patrick Surtain II, a key contributor to the Dolphins' defense, secured the 33rd spot, while renowned cornerback Jalen Ramsey represented Miami as the third cornerback listed, sitting at number 36.

Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, known for his remarkable talent, made the cut at number 66 overall. However, according to PFN, Tagovailoa was ranked as the 12th best passer in the league. The list revealed several quarterbacks who outperformed him, with Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals claiming the 12th spot, Dak Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys securing the 32nd spot, and Jordan Love of the Green Bay Packers placing at number 58.

PFN provided an analysis of Tagovailoa and his ranking, highlighting his MVP-worthy statistics, which suggest that he could be among the highest-paid players. The presence of exceptional wide receivers like Hill and Jaylen Waddle, along with Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel's dynamic scheme, further enhance Tagovailoa's performance. PFN noted that Miami does not have many alternative paths to upgrading their quarterback position.

Joining Hill and Tagovailoa on the list, wide receiver Jaylen Waddle earned the 77th spot, showcasing his potential as a playmaker. Additionally, safety Jevon Holland rounded out the Dolphins' representation, securing the 79th position overall.

While the Dolphins had an impressive showing with five players listed among the top 100, it's worth pondering if any of them should have been ranked higher or lower. Furthermore, discussions are underway regarding other notable Miami players who were potentially snubbed from the list.

As football enthusiasts eagerly await the start of the 2024 NFL season, PFN's top 100 list serves as a point of debate and conversation among fans who passionately analyze the rankings of their favorite players.
