### Fantasy Football: Week 12 Insights and Tips for Key Players

As we approach Week 12 of the fantasy football season, several players need to be on your radar for strategic lineup decisions. Here's a breakdown of key players and matchups to consider for the upcoming weekend.

Drake Maye has proven to be a reliable fantasy quarterback, amassing at least 17 fantasy points in four of his past five full starts. However, he faces a formidable challenge against a Miami Dolphins defense that ranks third in fewest fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks. Despite this, Miami's defense has shown some susceptibility, allowing at least 19 fantasy points to quarterbacks in three of their last four games. Thus, Maye can be considered a middle-tier QB2 option for this week.

Tua Tagovailoa, fresh off his best fantasy game of the season with 23.5 points, is heading into a favorable matchup against the New England Patriots. The Patriots' defense has allowed multiple passing touchdowns in three of their last four games and has seen six different quarterbacks score at least 17 fantasy points this season. As a result, Tagovailoa stands as a low-end QB1 option.

Rhamondre Stevenson, who performed impressively against the Dolphins earlier in the season, is in line for another strong game. While Miami's recent defensive efforts have held running backs to 3.8 yards per carry, Stevenson's heavy workload, with at least 20 carries in three of the last four games and multiple pass receptions, makes him a solid RB start.

Tyreek Hill delivered his highest fantasy score since Week 1 last week with 19.1 PPR points. Despite the expectation that he will be shadowed by Christian Gonzalez in Week 12, Hill remains a must-start receiver because of his reliable production against tough matchups.

However, Jaylen Waddle continues to struggle, ranking as the WR60 on the season after finishing outside the top 45 in seven of the last eight games. With diminishing opportunities, Waddle should only be considered in deeper leagues of 14 or more teams this week.

In deeper formats, both DeMario Douglas and Kayshon Boutte could be viable flex options. Douglas has reached double figures in PPR formats in two of the past three outings, and scored 11.9 PPR points in his last meeting with the Dolphins. Boutte, seeing steady target numbers, remains a potential play in 14-plus team leagues.

At the tight end position, Hunter Henry has shown consistency, finishing as a top-12 option in four of the last six weeks. Given that Miami’s defense has been vulnerable against tight ends recently, Henry is a strong TE1 play in Week 12.

Jonnu Smith also presents a compelling TE1 option following his standout performance in Week 11, where he posted 28.1 PPR points and saw significant playing time and targets.

Calvin Ridley, despite some underwhelming numbers recently, remains a strong start against a Texans defense allowing the 10th-most fantasy points per game to wideouts. Ridley’s solid target share since Week 6 makes him a reliable option.

C.J. Stroud, on the other hand, has been a weak fantasy performer, finishing outside the top 20 quarterbacks in four of the last five weeks. With the Titans allowing the fewest passing yards per game, Stroud is best avoided.

Tony Pollard faces a tough challenge against a Texans defense that has given the fifth-fewest points to running backs. However, with Tyjae Spears ruled out, Pollard becomes a solid RB2 play.

With six teams on bye, Tank Dell might be a forced start in larger leagues, but his weak matchup against Titans’ stringent defense on wideouts makes him a risky play.

Dalton Schultz is also unfavored due to poor season-long performance and a stiff matchup, making him a low-end TE1 only in very deep leagues.

Will Levis has been a consistent QB2 option, with the Texans allowing multiple passing touchdowns in seven of their 11 games. Consider Levis in Superflex formats.

Joe Mixon remains a must-start, maintaining top-12 running back status over five of the past six weeks, making him indispensable in Week 12 against the Titans.

For the Lions, Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery are must-starts against a Colts defense that struggles against the run, placing them among solid RB options this week.

Josh Downs is positioned as a high-end WR3 due to his favorable matchup against a weak Lions secondary, making him an attractive option in the slot.

Sam LaPorta, despite injury concerns last week, returns as a low-end TE1 against a Colts defense that has struggled against tight ends.

Anthony Richardson, though productive last week, faces the tough Lions defense, making him more of a QB2 play this week.

You should still start Jonathan Taylor despite the challenging matchup, given his low-end RB1 potential.

Jared Goff's impressive performance last week cements him as a low-end QB1 against the Colts' vulnerable secondary.

While Michael Pittman Jr. comes into a favorable matchup, his low ceiling makes him a riskier flex option in larger leagues.

Amon-Ra St. Brown, on the other hand, remains a strong WR1 due to his incredible consistency and recent run of high-yardage games.

Jameson Williams, though seeing more targets, is merely a flex consideration, especially given the Colts’ recent defensive lapses against wideouts.

For the Vikings, Aaron Jones is primed for a bounce-back game against the Bears, who have struggled to contain running backs, making him a solid RB2 play.

DJ Moore, benefiting from a new offensive coordinator, faces a favorable matchup against the Vikings, making him a solid flex option.

Sam Darnold, however, remains a risky QB2 given the Bears’ defensive strength against quarterbacks.

Caleb Williams should be reserved for Superflex formats only, given his recent struggles and the tough matchup against the Vikings.

With questions around D'Andre Swift's health, Roschon Johnson is a risky RB2, but his potential volume makes him worth a look.

Justin Jefferson should remain in lineups despite a tough shadow matchup, given his high yardage consistency.

Jordan Addison, though seeing increased targets, remains a risky flex against a strong Bears defense.

Lastly, avoid starting Keenan Allen, who remains an inconsistent fantasy producer, but consider Rome Odunze in deeper leagues as he has shown potential upside.

T.J. Hockenson continues to provide TE1 value despite limited snaps, making him a low-end option against the Bears’ defense.

Conversely, Cole Kmet's recent lack of production relegates him to only the deepest of leagues.

These insights should help guide your fantasy decisions as you prepare for Week 12.
