In a press conference held on Tuesday, the family of Riley Strain, a 22-year-old student who went missing in Nashville, provided an update on their search efforts. The Strain family expressed their determination to find Riley, with tear-filled eyes, stating that their sole focus is to bring him home.
To strengthen their search operations, the family has enlisted the help of the United Cajun Navy (UCN), a nonprofit volunteer organization that was formed during Hurricane Katrina. The UCN has been known for their effective rescue operations and will be collaborating with the Strain family to increase the organization and coordination of the search.
David Flagg, the Director of Operations for UCN, announced that search efforts for Riley on the Cumberland River will be intensified starting either on Tuesday or Wednesday. Flagg urged individuals who have been conducting their own search to join the UCN's coordinated efforts, stating, "We will be putting together an organized and structured ground search in the near future."
The University of Missouri student disappeared on Friday, March 8, after leaving Luke Bryan's lower Broadway bar. Over the past 11 days, several videos have emerged retracing Riley's steps, yet his whereabouts remain unknown. One such video, released by Metro Nashville Police just this week, shows a brief interaction between Riley and a police officer on Gay Street.
Volunteers who wish to assist in the search for Riley Strain are encouraged to sign up with the UCN. The organization is actively seeking individuals who are willing to contribute their time and resources to help bring Riley home.
