### Davante Adams Trade Rumors: Reunions with Rodgers or Carr on the Horizon?

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams has expressed his desire for a trade and is exploring various options for his next destination. While reuniting with Aaron Rodgers at the New York Jets appears to be a favored option, Adams is keeping his choices open. According to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, Adams also sees reconnecting with New Orleans Saints' quarterback Derek Carr as a viable alternative.

Adams and Carr have a history that dates back to their college days at Fresno State, and they teamed up again with the Raiders in 2022. Despite speculation around a possible trade, Carr mentioned in a recent interview that their conversations have not revolved around business matters. "Me and Tae, we always talk," Carr explained. "But nothing crazy."

The buzz around a potential trade for Adams elevated after news broke of his request, although no deal is expected to materialize this week. Head Coach Antonio Pierce commented on Adams’ current status, attributing his recent absence from the field to a hamstring injury. Rapoport reported that Adams is expected to miss the upcoming game against the Denver Broncos.

While Carr refrained from discussing the specifics of Adams' dissatisfaction with the Raiders, he did express his continued friendship and professional admiration for the wide receiver. "As a man, I would let him talk about all his stuff. But like to speak for him, I would never do that," Carr shared.

Carr also indicated that he would relish another chance to play with Adams, mindful of adhering to league tampering regulations. "I think all 32 quarterbacks would love to play with Davante. We would welcome that," Carr stated.

Adams has an impressive record with both Rodgers and Carr. During his time with Rodgers in Green Bay, Adams recorded 669 receptions for 8,121 yards and 73 touchdowns over 116 regular-season games. In the 2022 season with the Raiders and Carr, Adams had 100 receptions for 1,516 yards and 14 touchdowns, making it his second-best season in terms of yardage and touchdowns.

Carr acknowledged that while their season together did not result in many wins, it was still a productive period. "So, we didn't win as many games as we thought, but it wasn't all bad. We had fun doing it, that's for sure," Carr reflected.

As the Saints grapple with a challenging season start, losing two straight games after an initial 2-0, Carr remains focused on his current team but is open to the idea of Adams joining him in New Orleans. "I think everyone would love to play with Tae," Carr concluded.

As trade discussions continue to heat up, where Adams will land remains a topic of intense speculation and interest in the NFL community.
