In a show of support, Jayson Boebert, the ex-husband of Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.), has vowed to stand by his son, Tyler, as the teen faces a slew of charges in connection with a series of alleged thefts. Tyler, 18, was hit with 22 charges, including five felonies, and has been held at Garfield County Jail.

Breaking his silence after his own recent arrest, Jayson expressed his unconditional love for his son, describing him as a good-hearted child with his entire life ahead of him. The statement came after an alleged attack on Tyler, where Jayson was reportedly involved in a drunken rage before grabbing a rifle, according to a police report.

The incident involving Jayson occurred on January 6 at a Colorado restaurant, resulting in charges of third-degree assault, prohibited use of weapons, obstructing a peace officer, harassment, disorderly conduct, and third-degree trespassing. As a result, an order of protection was granted against Jayson, preventing him from contacting Rep. Boebert and their three minor children.

While Tyler was not granted protection under the order, the police report detailed an incident where Jayson allegedly dug his thumb into the teen's mouth. Rep. Boebert mentioned this attack in her restraining order request against Jayson. The restraining order was sought following allegations of multiple suicidal threats and threats to harm Rep. Boebert over the past 14 months, as well as claims that Jayson had entered her home to remove and destroy personal belongings.

Jayson countered these accusations by stating that he had only entered the home to clean up and accused Rep. Boebert of using the restraining order as a means to justify her move to a new congressional district. Rep. Boebert has been vocal about her intentions to seek a third term in Congress.

Despite the recent turmoil within the family, Jayson affirmed his commitment to being there for his children, regardless of the circumstances. He expressed a desire to continuously evolve and refine his parenting skills, with a pledge to provide the best possible support and guidance to his children.

In the midst of these developments, Rep. Boebert shared her belief that Tyler should be held accountable for his alleged crimes. The 18-year-old is facing multiple felony and misdemeanor charges, including criminal possession of ID documents, conspiracy to commit, criminal trespassing, identity theft, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

It is worth noting that Tyler had previously been ticketed in 2022 for careless driving causing bodily injury, after flipping Jayson's SUV into a creek. He was ordered to attend a driver safety program, while a friend involved in the accident accused Rep. Boebert of attempting to cover it up.

The situation remains dynamic and continues to unfold as both Tyler's legal proceedings and the family's personal issues develop further.
