The Philadelphia Eagles are gearing up for a potential advantage against the Cincinnati Bengals, eyeing their targets on the offensive line and special teams. Last week, the Giants' left tackle, Joshua Ezeudu, had an experience that Bengals' Calvin Ford might face next. Described as prime for the Eagles' trademark "Feastin'™️," Ford will need to brace himself against a formidable pass rush.

On the other side of the line, rookie right tackle Paris Mims could pose an interesting situation. Some analysts, including this report's author, believed that the Eagles might target Mims in the 2024 NFL Draft as a successor to their star right tackle, Lane Johnson. Although Mims boasts a remarkable blend of size and athleticism, injuries and a competitive roster at Georgia limited his college starts to just eight. As a rookie in Cincinnati, he faces the pressure of starting immediately, which could be a point of vulnerability.

Within the interior line, the Bengals rely on a veteran trio of Volson, Karras, and Cappa, collectively bringing 226 career starts to the table. Among them, Volson, with 43 starts, seems the most vulnerable. Pro Football Focus recorded him allowing five sacks in both 2022 and 2023, and two so far this season. While the Eagles' pass rush has surged with 13 sacks in the last two games, Joe Burrow's ability to limit his sacks to just 12 this season, sixth-fewest in the NFL, demands a measured approach on the FeastinMeter™️, rating it at five turkey legs.

Adding another layer to the matchup is the Bengals’ special teams, with second-year pro Charlie Jones emerging as a significant threat. Jones, who averaged 10.8 yards per punt return in 2023 and scored an 81-yard punt return touchdown, continued to impress with a kickoff return touchdown against the Browns last week. The Eagles must avoid a critical mistake on special teams to mitigate Jones' potential impact.

As the Eagles prepare for Sunday's contest, their focus will be on exploiting these key areas while maintaining vigilance against the Bengals' special teams prowess.
