EA Sports has announced the highly-anticipated arrival of the Team Builder mode in College Football 25, offering fans a deep and creative platform to design and customize their own college football program. The update was released on Thursday, ahead of the standard version's launch on Friday.

According to EA Sports' official release, Team Builder will provide a comprehensive creation suite where players can discover and share logos and celebrate creators. The mode will be accessible through the Team Builder website, offering tools to design uniforms, helmets, fields, and upload custom logos. These customized programs can then be used in both Play Now and Dynasty game modes.

When designing a team, users will have the option to include primary, secondary, and tertiary logos. The primary logos will be prominently displayed in the in-game UI during Dynasty mode, while secondary and tertiary logos will be incorporated into the team's uniforms and field. Fans can choose to upload their own logos or select from a range of recolorable generic logos.

For added personalization, fans will be able to select Nike, adidas, or Under Armour as their uniform provider, influencing the fonts and equipment worn by the players on their team. Up to five helmets, jerseys, pants, and socks can be created, offering a staggering 625 possible uniform combinations. Additionally, gamers will have the flexibility to add up to seven custom layers on their helmets.

The creation options extend beyond just the team's appearance, as fans will have full control over building their home field. This includes choosing from 134 existing FBS stadiums, renaming them, and then customizing eight core components: stadium, crowd, surface, logos, endzone, numbers, sidelines, and benches. Once the stadium is complete, attention can be shifted towards designing the playing field.

When it comes to actually playing College Football 25 with a program built in Team Builder, fans will have the ability to set their playbooks and select from seven generic roster types.

EA Sports emphasized that their goal with Team Builder was to enable fans to bring their creativity to life and share their designs with the community. To achieve this, they set out to offer a web-based solution with a robust toolset that would empower fans with as much customization freedom as possible.

In terms of player representation, EA Sports has surpassed their initial goal of 85 players per roster. More than 14,000 college football players have opted in to be included in College Football 25. Athletes who are featured in the game will receive compensation of $600 as well as a copy of the game. Notable players such as Jalen Milroe, Carson Beck, Travis Hunter, Jaxson Dart, and Quinn Ewers have already signed partnerships to be part of the game.

While most major stars in the sport have opted in, there may be some notable freshmen missing if they have not yet enrolled or received a school email necessary for registration. Additionally, late transfers in the process of enrolling may also be absent at the time of release. However, players from the Army, Navy, and Air Force academies, who are unable to accept compensation, are expected to be included by EA Sports.

With the introduction of Team Builder mode and its extensive customization features, EA Sports aims to provide a robust and immersive experience for college football fans in College Football 25.
