EA Sports has recently unveiled College Ultimate Team (CUT), a highly anticipated game mode that allows players to build their own dream teams using current and past college football players. The game mode, reminiscent of Madden Ultimate Team, was first introduced in NCAA Football 14 and has now made a comeback in College Football 25.
CUT offers players the opportunity to create their ultimate lineup from a pool of real players representing all 134 FBS schools, both past and present. Users can compete against AI or other players with their personalized dream teams. To make the experience even more exciting, EA Sports has incorporated current NFL players into the game mode, such as Patrick Mahomes, Davante Adams, Christian McCaffrey, and Joe Burrow.
One notable inclusion is former UGA Tight End Brock Bowers, who was recently drafted by the Las Vegas Raiders. This means players can now have the chance to play alongside current NFL stars and talented college football alumni on their ultimate team.
EA Sports has also announced two additional programs within CUT: ICYMI and Legends. The ICYMI program will feature players who have contributed to iconic past moments and have greatly influenced their teams' successes. The Legends program, on the other hand, focuses on legendary All-Americans and allows players to test their skills against current college football stars.
This exciting announcement is part of EA Sports' weeklong series of reveals leading up to the release of College Football 25. Earlier this week, fans were treated to a glimpse of gameplay in Play Now matches between college football content creator James "BordeauxYT" Bordeaux and cover athlete Donovan Edwards. The developer has also promised to unveil the launch roster and new additions to the popular Road to Glory game mode later this week.
College Football 25 is set to be released on July 16 for those who pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition or MVP Bundle, while the game will be available to the general public on July 19. The game will be available on the Sony PlayStation 5 and Microsoft Xbox Series X/S consoles.
Fans can also explore the top 25 rated teams, discover the best offensive and defensive teams, and learn about the toughest stadiums to play in. To learn more about the game and hear IGN's initial thoughts, check out their hands-on preview before the full release.
With the inclusion of current NFL players and the opportunity to create personalized dream teams, College Ultimate Team in College Football 25 promises to offer an immersive and exciting gaming experience for college football enthusiasts and gamers alike.
