The film has grossed a whopping $494.7 million worldwide, with $208 million from North America and $289.4 million internationally. It is projected to cross the $500 million mark by Monday, a remarkable achievement in the post-pandemic era.

"Dune: Part Two" has now become the highest-grossing film of 2024, both domestically and worldwide, despite it being early in the year. In just 10 days, the sequel has already surpassed the entire domestic earnings of its predecessor, which reached $108 million. However, it should be noted that the first film was released simultaneously in theaters and on HBO Max, impacting its ticket sales.

Impressively, "Dune: Part Two" has also outgrossed its predecessor's worldwide earnings of $433 million. The film's strong international turnout has been particularly notable, with China leading the pack at $36 million, followed by the U.K. at $32.8 million, Germany at $25 million, France at $24.9 million, and Australia at $15.6 million.

The success of "Dune: Part Two" can be attributed to glowing word-of-mouth reviews and the audience's interest in experiencing the film in premium formats. Notably, the film has reached the $100 million milestone from Imax screens alone, making it the seventh-fastest film to achieve this feat.

Co-produced and co-financed by Warner Bros. and Legendary Entertainment, "Dune: Part Two" had a production cost of $190 million, with an additional $100 million spent on promotional efforts to reach global audiences. The film's ability to sustain its box office performance over time justifies its significant investment.

As "Dune: Part Two" continues to captivate audiences worldwide, it sets a new standard for box office success in the post-pandemic landscape. Its exceptional earnings and widespread popularity solidify its place among the most successful films of 2024.
