**Unruly Passenger Causes Chaos on United Airlines Flight to LAX**

An incident involving an unruly passenger disrupted United Airlines Flight 502 traveling from Austin, Texas, to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on November 16. The flight, carrying 76 passengers and five crew members, turned chaotic when a man began violently smashing a plastic tray table and forcefully kicking a seat. Video footage captured by Gino Galofaro, a fellow passenger, shows the man’s aggressive outburst.

Galofaro shared his experience with L.A. TV station KABC, detailing how the situation escalated without intervention from the flight attendants. "I took that video really quick and watched the flight attendant walk by and do nothing," said Galofaro. "Nobody on the plane was doing anything. So, I got up and proceeded to restrain him. Two other bystanders were getting zip ties from the flight attendant."

With the help of other passengers, Galofaro restrained the disruptive individual using zip ties and secured him to a seat with a seat belt. The United Airlines flight was approximately 40 minutes away from LAX when the incident occurred. Upon arrival, law enforcement met the flight to handle the situation further.

United Airlines confirmed the disruption in a statement, expressing gratitude to the crew for maintaining safety aboard. They indicated that the disruptive passenger has been barred from future United flights but did not provide additional information on the cause of the behavior or the passenger’s identity.

This incident follows another disturbing episode on a United Airlines flight last month, where a man from a San Francisco International Airport to Washington Dulles flight attacked a sleeping passenger. The alleged attacker, Everett Chad Nelson, is facing felony charges for the violent act, which resulted in significant injuries to the victim.

Both incidents highlight ongoing concerns regarding passenger behavior and the essential role of prompt intervention to ensure the safety and well-being of all on board.
