In a surprising turn of events, homes belonging to Sean "Diddy" Combs, the renowned rapper and music mogul, were raided by officials from US Homeland Security on Monday, March 25. The raids took place at Diddy's luxurious residence in the Holmby Hills area of Los Angeles, as well as his Miami Beach home on the exclusive Star Island.
These raids were conducted "in connection with a federal sex trafficking investigation," revealed Fox 11. The Department of Homeland Security, in a statement, confirmed that the raids were part of an ongoing investigation and involved assistance from multiple agencies, including HSI New York, HSI Los Angeles, and HSI Miami.
While it remains uncertain whether Diddy himself is the focus of the investigation, NBC News reported that federal officials have interviewed three women and a man in Manhattan. Additionally, three more interviews are scheduled regarding allegations of sex trafficking, sexual assault, and the solicitation and distribution of illegal narcotics and firearms.
Sources close to the investigation disclosed that firearms were discovered on both of Diddy's properties. However, the details regarding the type of firearms and their legal ownership remain unknown.
Amidst the ongoing controversy, Fox 11 shared aerial footage showing several individuals, including Diddy's two sons, being escorted in handcuffs outside the property during the raids.
Furthermore, reports surfaced about Diddy's private jet, a black 20-seat Gulfstream Aerospace GV-SP registered to LoveAir LLC. Flight data indicated that the aircraft had traveled across California from Sunday, March 24, to Monday, March 25. However, information on the jet was later removed from a popular flight tracking website, leaving questions about Diddy's whereabouts.
Diddy, who has faced a series of sexual assault allegations in recent months, has consistently denied all accusations against him and has not been charged with any crime. In February, music producer Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones filed a lawsuit accusing Diddy of repeated instances of unsolicited groping and sexual assault.
Another lawsuit from December alleged that Diddy, along with two associates, gang-raped a 17-year-old girl in 2003. The plaintiff, identified as Jane Doe, claimed that Diddy had flown her from Michigan to his New York studio, where the incidents occurred.
As survivors brought forth lawsuits against influential figures under the New York Adult Survivors Act, Diddy settled a lawsuit with R&B singer Cassie. The suit claimed that Diddy had trafficked, raped, and beaten her over a span of 10 years.
Diddy's lawyer released a statement on Tuesday, denouncing the actions of US Homeland Security during the raids as a "gross overuse of military-level force." The attorney further asserted Diddy's innocence and vowed to fight against the allegations.
In the midst of these developments, sources revealed that Diddy has cancelled his spring break vacation plans. He is reportedly determined to stay in the US to combat any allegations related to gun, drug, and sex trafficking.
This ongoing investigation continues to unravel, as Diddy's legal team prepares to address the allegations in court, vehemently asserting his innocence.
