The NFL has announced the official training camp report dates for the Detroit Lions, setting the stage for another exciting season. Players will be returning to the training facility in Allen Park beginning on July 20.

Following the completion of the Lions' OTA and minicamp spring schedule in mid-June, players are currently enjoying a summer break. This break offers an opportunity for players to train independently, participate in player-organized workouts, or simply rest and rejuvenate their bodies. Some new players will use this time to settle into their new homes, while others dealing with injuries will remain in town to focus on their rehabilitation.

On July 20, the Lions' rookies will report to Allen Park for an acclimation period, bringing them one step closer to joining the team. Additionally, some veterans, including those recovering from injuries, will also report during this time, although it is not mandatory. The official report date for all veterans has been set for July 23. Before participating in team activities, veterans will need to pass their conditioning tests.

Once the physicals have been cleared, the players who successfully passed will hit the field for practice within a day or two. Media presence is expected during the NFL-mandated five-day acclimation phase of training camp, where players focus on conditioning and do not wear pads initially. As the acclimation process progresses, fans can anticipate the opportunity to attend practices towards the end or shortly after its completion.

Though the official training camp dates and fan attendance information have not been released yet, in 2023, the Lions opened their camp to the media on July 23, with fans being welcomed into Allen Park on July 29. Fans can therefore expect a similar timeframe for the announcement this year, potentially around June 27.

Excitement is building as July 20 approaches when the Detroit Lions' rookies will report and training camp will commence. Fans and media alike eagerly await the chance to witness the team's progress as they prepare for the upcoming season.
