**Conor McGregor Vows to Appeal Assault Verdict Amid Heated Social Media Rant**

In the wake of being found liable for assault in a civil rape case, Conor McGregor took to social media to vehemently refute the ruling and express his frustration. The verdict came after Nikita Ni Lamhain accused McGregor and James Lawrence of assaulting her after a 2018 Christmas party, a claim McGregor and Lawrence have both adamantly denied.

Responding to a post from the Irish Independent that proclaimed "Justice has been served," McGregor lashed out on X, declaring, "Justice was served for James Lawrence, yes! Deplorable what they done. Nikita hand, vicious liar! APPEAL!" Lawrence was found not liable in the same case, and McGregor seized upon this to bolster his argument for his own appeal.

McGregor's social media response quickly escalated into an extended rant. He congratulated Lawrence on his exoneration, emphasizing, "Congrats James Lawrence on absolute exoneration! Twice this heinous accusation was put to you and twice it was shown as FALSE! LIES!" He described the ordeal as "absolutely disgraceful" and expressed his eagerness for further legal battles to clear both their names.

Further, McGregor criticized the legal proceedings and the jury's decision, suggesting key testimonies were ignored. "Every single statement of persons present on the night was ignored," he stated. Despite the jury awarding Ni Lamhain approximately $250,000 in damages, they did not find Lawrence responsible for assaulting her.

The 36-year-old fighter underscored his intent to appeal the decision, arguing that the award was only for assault and claiming significant evidence had been overlooked. "The judge's instruction and the modest award given was for assault, there was not an award for aggravated or exemplary damages. I am disappointed that the jury did not hear all the evidence," McGregor said, promising to continue the fight for what he believes to be true justice.
