Over 1,000 people congregated outside Redemptorist Church at 3333 Broadway in Kansas City on Friday night to attend the visitation for Lisa Lopez-Galvan. The crowd overflowed, with some wearing Chiefs jerseys and showing their support for the family.
Lisa Lopez-Galvan tragically lost her life in the mass shooting at Union Station after the Chiefs Super Bowl rally on February 14. Her family expressed gratitude to the community for their love and prayers during this difficult time.
The visitation, initially scheduled to start at 7 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m., filled up quickly, with the line extending around the block by 5:45 p.m.
The funeral for Lopez-Galvan is set to take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, led by her parish priest from St. Agnes. While the mass will be open to the public, the subsequent burial will be a private event.
