**Browns Secure Thrilling 29-24 Victory Over Ravens with New QB and Play-Caller**
The Cleveland Browns experienced significant changes this week, including a shift in their starting quarterback and an adjustment to their offensive play-caller. These changes appeared to pay off as they clinched a 29-24 victory against the Baltimore Ravens, marking their second win of the season.
Jameis Winston, starting his first game since 2022, showed resilience and skill, playing a pivotal role in the Browns' success. The game was a dramatic roller coaster, especially in the final moments. Winston almost threw a critical interception to Ravens' safety Kyle Hamilton, who had previously strip-sacked him. However, Hamilton dropped what seemed to be a sure interception. Taking advantage of the reprieve, Winston threw a decisive 38-yard touchdown pass to Cedric Tillman on the subsequent play. This impressive touchdown was Tillman’s second of the game and his career, capping off his performance with seven catches for 99 yards.
Despite a strong drive that brought them deep into Browns' territory, the Ravens' final attempt to clinch the game fell short. With just three seconds left on the clock, Lamar Jackson's pass on fourth-and-10 missed its target in the end zone, sealing the Browns' victory.
Winston’s leadership marked Cleveland's best offensive performance of the season. The team amassed 401 total yards, achieved 22 first downs, and improved significantly on third-down conversions, completing 8 out of 15 attempts. Prior to this game, the Browns had only managed a 23.7 percent third-down conversion rate for the season. Winston completed 27 of 41 passes for 334 yards, delivering three touchdowns without any interceptions. Nick Chubb added to the offense with 52 rushing yards over 16 carries.
On the Ravens' side, Lamar Jackson finished with 23 completions on 38 attempts, totaling 289 yards and two touchdowns, in addition to 46 rushing yards on eight carries. Running back Derrick Henry contributed 73 yards on 11 carries, including a notable 39-yard run. Kicker Justin Tucker managed to score a 49-yard field goal in the second quarter but continued to struggle, missing a 50-yard attempt wide left.
The Browns, now 2-6, will remain at home to face the Chargers next weekend in their third consecutive home game. Meanwhile, the 5-3 Ravens will also return home to play against the Broncos.
