Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker recently sent a white jersey to the family of Lisa Lopez-Galvan, a victim of the Kansas City parade shooting, fulfilling a special request from her husband. Lopez-Galvan, who tragically lost her life during the incident, was a devoted fan of Butker and was wearing his No. 7 jersey when she was killed. The family had been searching for a white Butker jersey for Lopez-Galvan's funeral arrangements, and after a social media post gained attention, Butker arranged for a jersey to be sent to them.
A representative for the kicker confirmed that the jersey reached Lopez-Galvan's family, providing some comfort during this difficult time. A GoFundMe campaign was initiated to support Lopez-Galvan's family, and donations have poured in, surpassing the $75,000 goal to reach over $378,000 as of Wednesday morning. Notable contributions include $100,000 from singer Taylor Swift, who is in a relationship with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, and another $100,000 donation from Kelce to aid two young sisters injured in the tragic incident.
Butker, who has achieved significant success with the Chiefs, winning three Super Bowls with the team, has shown kindness and support to the family of a loyal fan in their time of need.
