### Bears Shake Up Coaching Staff Ahead of Packer Showdown

The Chicago Bears are making significant adjustments to their coaching staff amid continuing struggles with their offense. NFL Network's Tom Pelissero has reported that the Bears have decided to fire offensive coordinator Shane Waldron. In his place, passing game coordinator Thomas Brown will assume playcalling duties.

This change comes as the Bears prepare for a challenging matchup against the Green Bay Packers. The Packers, fresh off a bye week, will be facing a Chicago offense that has yet to find its footing. Defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley will need to adapt quickly to the new offensive strategies Brown might implement.

Head coach Matt Eberflus had hinted that substantial changes were on the horizon following the team's third consecutive loss in Week 10. The Bears have struggled to find the end zone, having failed to score an offensive touchdown since Week 8 and accumulating only 27 points over the three games since their bye week. Their most recent game against the New England Patriots ended in a dismal 19-3 loss, where they managed just 69 net passing yards and 142 total yards.

Rookie quarterback Caleb Williams has borne the brunt of these offensive struggles, having been sacked 18 times over the last three games, including nine sacks against the Patriots. Waldron, who was in his first season as offensive coordinator, lasted just nine games before being replaced by Brown.

Thomas Brown brings a varied coaching background to the role, including experience as the offensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers in 2023. During his tenure, the Panthers narrowly missed an upset over the Packers, scoring 30 points in that game. Despite this highlight, the Panthers' overall performance under his guidance ranked near the bottom of the league in both scoring and yards gained.

The upcoming game between the Bears and the Packers is set to kick off at noon on Sunday at Soldier Field. As the Bears implement these major coaching changes, all eyes will be on how their offense performs under Brown's leadership.
