In a devastating incident, British model-turned-actress Cara Delevingne's Los Angeles home in Studio City was engulfed in flames on Friday morning. Firefighters responded to the scene just before 4 a.m., battling a "heavy fire" that quickly spread throughout the property.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the fire originated at the back of the house, eventually reaching the attic. As the fierce blaze intensified, the roof collapsed and structural beams were exposed. A total of 94 firefighters dedicated over two hours to extinguishing the flames, working tirelessly to bring the situation under control.
Fortunately, Delevingne was not present at the time of the fire. Currently staying in London for her role in the theater production of "Cabaret," she expressed her heartbreak over the incident on her Instagram story. Alongside a photo of her two cats, she wrote a heartfelt message urging everyone to cherish what they have, as life can change in an instant.
All individuals who were inside the house managed to escape safely, although one person suffered minor smoke inhalation. Additionally, one firefighter was transported to a hospital in fair condition due to injuries sustained while battling the blaze. The cause of the fire is currently unknown and is under investigation.
Fears were initially raised about the fate of Delevingne's beloved pets, but she later reassured her followers with another photo, confirming that they were alive and expressing gratitude towards the firefighters. She also shared a brief video showcasing the emergency vehicles surrounding her ravaged home and thanked everyone who came to assist.
At the time of this incident, Delevingne had not posted on social media for four days. Her previous post included a series of photos from her role as Sally Bowles in "Cabaret," a character known for her famous line, "Hello darlings...!" Delevingne's modeling career began around 2010, and she has since collaborated with renowned designers such as Burberry, Chanel, and Marc Jacobs. Additionally, she has ventured into acting, having appeared in movies like "Suicide Squad" and TV shows such as "Only Murders in the Building."
A representative for Delevingne did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment on the incident. As investigations continue into the cause, Delevingne's fans and well-wishers hope for a swift recovery from this unfortunate incident.
