Canadian actor Kenneth Mitchell, known for his roles in Jericho, Captain Marvel, and Star Trek: Discovery, has passed away at the age of 49 due to complications of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). His family announced the news of his death on social media, describing him as a beloved father, husband, brother, uncle, son, and friend. Mitchell had bravely faced the challenges of ALS for five and a half years before his passing, living each day with grace and commitment.

Diagnosed with ALS in 2020, the fatal motor neuron disease, Mitchell continued to pursue his passion for acting. In Captain Marvel, he portrayed Joseph Danvers, and in Star Trek: Discovery, he displayed his talent through various Klingon characters despite his health struggles.
