### Burglars Strike Farm on Windsor Estate, Steal Two Vehicles

Last month, a farm located within the Windsor Castle estate was burglarized, resulting in the theft of two vehicles, according to Thames Valley Police. The incident was first reported by the Sun newspaper and occurred at a farm that is part of the extensive Windsor estate, which also hosts residences of the Royal Family.

During the break-in, which took place at around 23:45 on Sunday, 13 October, the perpetrators reportedly scaled a six-foot perimeter fence and broke through a gate to make their escape. They managed to steal a black Isuzu pick-up truck and a red quad bike before heading towards the Old Windsor/Datchet area. Despite an ongoing investigation, no arrests have been made so far.

The Prince and Princess of Wales were said to be at their estate residence during the time of the burglary, although Kensington Palace has not provided any comments. They live with their three children in Adelaide Cottage, which is located near Windsor Castle. Meanwhile, King Charles and Queen Camilla were not present at Windsor Castle when the incident occurred.

It’s worth noting that this is not the first security breach on the Windsor estate. In 2021, an intruder was detained on Christmas Day within the grounds of Windsor Castle. Despite these incidents, security for senior royals remains robust, with places like the Royal Lodge, occupied by the Duke of York, having extensive security measures that reportedly cost several million pounds annually.

The Windsor estate spans 15,800 acres and includes not only working farms but also conservation areas and the renowned Windsor Great Park. Last year, Windsor Castle attracted 1.4 million visitors, making it the most popular royal tourist site in the United Kingdom.

Thames Valley Police continue to investigate the recent burglary and have appealed for any information related to the crime. With no arrests made yet, authorities are urging anyone with knowledge of the event to come forward.
