Bruce Springsteen Reschedules European Tour Dates Due to Vocal Issues
Renowned rocker Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have been forced to reschedule two more shows on their European stadium tour after the singer experienced ongoing vocal issues. As per the "doctor's direction," the band's concerts in Airport Letnany in Prague and San Siro Stadium in Milan have been postponed. New dates for these shows will be announced in the near future.
The decision to postpone the shows comes after the recent cancellation of their concert in Marseilles. Following this setback, medical professionals examined Springsteen and determined that he should refrain from performing for the next ten days. In an announcement on the band's social media platform, it was stated that the singer is recuperating comfortably and the band is eager to resume their tour on June 12 in Madrid at the Civitas Metropolitan.
This is not the first time that health issues have affected Springsteen's tour schedule. Last September, the musician had to postpone multiple dates in North America due to a peptic ulcer. Although he eventually completed those shows earlier this year, the artist has continued to struggle with voice problems.
During his appearance at the Ivor Awards in London last week, Springsteen acknowledged his vocal issues but attributed them to adverse weather conditions during an outdoor show in Sunderland. He jokingly downplayed the impact of the weather on his performance.
Despite these challenges, Springsteen and the band have been delivering stellar performances throughout the tour, with a slightly altered setlist from last year. In March, Springsteen mentioned on SiriusXM that while some elements from the previous tour would remain, he intended to introduce a broader selection of songs to keep the performances fresh.
Fans who have purchased tickets for the postponed shows can obtain a refund from their original point of purchase. As the legendary rocker focuses on his recovery, anticipation builds for the upcoming shows, where Springsteen and the E Street Band are sure to deliver an unforgettable experience for their fans.
