**British Airways Experiences Short-Term Technical Glitch, Causing Temporary Flight Delays**

British Airways encountered a technical glitch on Monday that disrupted some of its systems for a few hours, leading to delays and inconveniences for passengers flying across Europe. Social media buzzed with reports of flight delays, and even the airline's website went down for over an hour before the issue was addressed.

A representative from British Airways confirmed that the airline faced a "technical issue affecting some of our systems" which contributed to the delays. The spokesperson conveyed that the teams worked diligently to rectify the problem quickly. "We've apologised to customers for delays to their flights and ensured they were able to reach their destinations as planned," the representative mentioned in the official statement.

Heathrow Airport, the principal hub for British Airways in London, also released a statement confirming that the technical difficulties had been resolved. "The technical issue impacting British Airways has now been resolved. Our teams remain on hand to support British Airways to help passengers on their way as quickly as possible," shared a spokesperson from Heathrow Airport, as reported by CNN.

Meanwhile, London Gatwick Airport reported that British Airways faced a temporary issue but assured that no significant disruptions occurred. The airline, a subsidiary of International Airlines Group, is not a stranger to technical issues; noteworthy incidents include a major system crash in 2019 that led to the cancellation of over 100 flights. The 2019 incident notably affected thousands of travelers at both Heathrow and Gatwick airports, with around 300 flights experiencing delays of up to an hour.

While Monday's technical problem was a brief inconvenience, the swift response from both British Airways and the airports involved minimized the impact on passengers, ensuring that they could continue their journeys with as little disruption as possible.
