The Cincinnati Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs continued their preparations for their highly anticipated Week 2 matchup at Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs, coming off a convincing victory over the Ravens, are looking to extend their winning streak, while the Bengals, eager to rebound from a disappointing loss to the Patriots, aim to prove their mettle.
After being outplayed by the Patriots, led by quarterback Jacoby Brissett, the Bengals are determined to hit the ground running early against the Chiefs. However, the team faced another setback as wide receiver Tee Higgins was sidelined for the second consecutive day due to a nagging hamstring injury. On a positive note, tight end Tanner Hudson returned to practice on a limited basis after missing Wednesday's session due to a knee injury. Rookie right tackle Amarius Mims also participated in limited capacity for the second day in a row.
Quarterback Joe Burrow, who is listed on the injury report with a wrist injury, continued to practice in full, displaying his resilience. Meanwhile, halfback Zack Moss was added to the injury report with a neck injury but was able to practice in full.
Defensively, the Bengals were without the services of Kris Jenkins, who is still in recovery following thumb surgery. However, linebacker Logan Wilson made a return to practice after sitting out on Wednesday, albeit in a limited capacity. BJ Hill, who was limited on Wednesday, participated fully in Thursday's practice.
Turning to the Chiefs, the injury report remained relatively unchanged from Wednesday. Wide receiver Marquise "Hollywood" Brown missed another practice session due to a shoulder injury. The rest of the Chiefs players on the injury report, including linebacker Nick Bolton, defensive end Michael Danna, safety Sazeeh Johnson, nose tackle Derrick Nnadi, and defensive tackle Mike Pennel, practiced in full.
With the Bengals seeking redemption and the Chiefs aiming to extend their winning streak, the stage is set for an exciting clash between these two teams on Sunday. Both sides will look to overcome their injury challenges and put forth their best efforts on the field. Football fans can expect an intense and competitive battle as the Bengals strive to prove that they belong among the league's elite and the Chiefs seek to maintain their winning form.
