### "American Pickers" Star Frank Fritz's Cause of Death Revealed

Frank Fritz, the beloved star of the hit reality TV series "American Pickers," has passed away at the age of 60. Fritz's death, which took place on September 30, was attributed to complications from a stroke, officially detailed as "late sequela of cerebral infarction," as per the death certificate obtained by TMZ.

The death certificate further revealed that Fritz’s stroke was a consequence of cerebral vascular disease, a collection of conditions that impact blood flow and blood vessels in the brain, according to University of Michigan Health. In addition to these ailments, Fritz was battling aortic stenosis, a chronic heart condition that limits blood flow from the heart, and COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), a lung condition that obstructs airflow and complicates breathing. Both conditions contributed significantly to his demise.

Mike Wolfe, Fritz’s longtime friend and co-star, took to Instagram on October 1 to share the heartbreaking news with fans. "It's with a broken heart that I share with all of you that Frank passed away last night," Wolfe wrote. He fondly described Fritz as a "dreamer who was just as sensitive as he was funny," adding that the TV persona people saw on-screen was the same off-camera.

Fritz’s stroke two years prior had also been public knowledge, and Wolfe once again turned to Instagram in July 2022 to update fans about his condition, urging them to keep Fritz in their thoughts and prayers.

The duo had been the face of "American Pickers" since its debut in 2010, traveling across the United States in search of rare antiques and collectibles. Their camaraderie and shared passion for the hunt were central to the show’s charm and success. Following Fritz's exit from the show during its 21st season, Wolfe’s brother, Rob, stepped in to fill the void.

In a joint statement, The History Channel and producers Cineflix Production remembered Frank Fritz as a cherished member of their family. "We are saddened to share that our friend and beloved member of The HISTORY Channel and American Pickers family, Frank Fritz, has passed away on September 30, 2024. Frank filmed American Pickers for over a decade," the statement read. They honored him as "the bearded charmer" with an insatiable quest for vintage motorcycles and bikes.

Wolfe, who was by Fritz’s side as he took his final journey, reflected lovingly on their countless trips together, stating, "I feel blessed that I was there by his side when he took one last journey home. I love you buddy and will miss you so much I know you're in a better place."
