Frank Fritz, the charismatic co-host of the popular show "American Pickers," passed away on Monday, September 30, at the age of 60. The news was shared on social media by his long-time friend and co-host, Mike Wolfe. For a decade, fans followed the duo as they journeyed across America, seeking out antiques and artifacts to sell or add to their collections.

Wolfe took to Instagram to express his grief and share a heartfelt tribute to his friend. "It's with a broken heart that I share with all of you that Frank passed away last night," Wolfe wrote. "I've known Frank for more than half my life, and what you've seen on TV has always been what I have seen—a dreamer who was just as sensitive as he was funny. The same off-camera as he was on, Frank had a way of reaching the hearts of so many by just being himself."

Reflecting on their years of adventure, Wolfe continued, "Who would have ever dreamed we would share the cockpit of a white cargo van in front of millions of people interested in our adventures. Before the show, we would take off together to places we never knew existed, with no destination in mind and just the shared passion to discover something interesting and historic."

Wolfe concluded his tribute with poignant words: "We've been on countless trips and shared so many miles, and I feel blessed that I was there by his side when he took one last journey home. I love you, buddy, and will miss you so much. I know you're in a better place."

"American Pickers" premiered on the History Channel on January 18, 2010, and has since enjoyed 25 successful seasons. Fritz was a staple on the show until the 2020 season, stepping back due to health issues. He suffered a stroke in the summer of 2022.

In a joint statement, the History Channel and "American Pickers" production company Cineflix Production reflected on Fritz's legacy: "Frank filmed 'American Pickers' for over a decade. We will always remember 'the bearded charmer' and his never-ending search for vintage motorcycles and bikes. Our thoughts are with Frank's loved ones during this difficult time. He will be deeply missed."

Beyond "American Pickers," Fritz made appearances in other History Channel shows, such as "Pawn Stars," and lent his voice to an episode of the animated comedy "American Dad" in 2017.

Frank Fritz's impact on television and those who knew him personally remains indelible, as fans and colleagues alike mourn the loss of a beloved personality and friend.
