In a recent development, the Metro Nashville Police Department in Tennessee has discovered the bank card of Riley Strain, a missing University of Missouri college student. The card was found on the embankment between Gay St. and the Cumberland River on Sunday afternoon. The police department posted on X, formerly Twitter, stating that the search for Strain continues.

Although a body was reported to be floating down the Cumberland River around 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nashville Fire Department officials have confirmed that it does not match Strain's description. This news brings relief to his worried family and friends.

Strain, a senior at the University of Missouri, was last seen on March 8 at around 10 p.m., walking along Gay Street after spending time at country singer Luke Bryan's bar on Broadway Street. He was in Nashville with his fraternity brothers for a spring formal trip. According to reports, Strain had been asked to leave the bar due to being intoxicated. He informed his friends that he would make his way back to their hotel, the Tempo by Hilton, which is approximately five blocks away from Luke's 32 Bridge.

The TC Restaurant Group, which manages Luke's 32 Bridge, has released a statement providing details of Strain's interactions at their establishment. According to their records, Strain purchased one alcoholic drink and two waters during his visit. At 9:35 p.m., the security team decided to escort him out through the Broadway exit at the front of the building. One member of his party followed him downstairs, while another stayed upstairs.

Further information reveals that Strain's phone last pinged between 10 and 10:30 p.m. in the area of Public Square Park, near the sheriff's office and the Cumberland River. Authorities are urging anyone with information about Strain's disappearance to contact the Metro Nashville Police Department at 615-862-8600.

The discovery of Strain's bank card raises new questions about his whereabouts and well-being. Search efforts are continuing as authorities work diligently to find any leads that may shed light on his case. Family, friends, and the wider community hold onto hope for his safe return.

As the investigation unfolds, authorities are focused on piecing together the events of that evening and are working closely with Luke's 32 Bridge to gather more information. The assistance and cooperation of the public are pivotal in ensuring a thorough and comprehensive investigation.
