### Apple to Launch Apple Intelligence for iPhone and iPad in the EU by April 2025
Apple has revealed its plans to introduce Apple Intelligence features to iPhone and iPad users in the European Union starting in April 2025. In their latest announcement, the tech giant confirmed that users will gain access to a suite of new features, including advanced Writing Tools, Genmoji, a redesigned Siri, and more.
Currently, Mac users in the EU can already utilize some Apple Intelligence features if their devices are running macOS Sequoia 15.1 and set to U.S. English. However, the eagerly anticipated rollout for iPhone and iPad users has been held back due to regulatory complications influenced by the Digital Markets Act. Apple announced a delay in June to ensure full compatibility with EU competition rules for additional features such as iPhone Mirroring and SharePlay Screen Sharing.
For those EU users who can't wait, there's still a workaround. By using a U.S. App Store ID and setting the device language and region to U.S. English, iPhone and iPad users can access Apple Intelligence features ahead of the official release. Meanwhile, the roll-out in China remains uncertain, as Apple requires an AI partner to comply with local regulations prohibiting American companies from launching chatbots powered by large language models without government approval.
Speculation suggests that the European release of Apple Intelligence will likely coincide with an update to iOS 18, particularly the anticipated iOS 18.4. This major update is expected to bring notable improvements to Siri, including enhanced personal context and expanded functionality across apps.
Overall, the news marks a significant step forward for Apple users in the EU, who will soon experience the advanced capabilities that Apple Intelligence promises to deliver.
