### Thunder's Depth Poses Challenge for Pacers, Says Analyst Buckner
Quinn Buckner, the television analyst for the Indiana Pacers, has identified significant challenges his team may face when playing against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Buckner notes that both teams have strong benches, but the Thunder have been more impressive in their execution.
"The (Pacers) bench has got to be really good because OKC plays 10 to 11 players, and they all contribute," Buckner observed. "Everybody may have a specialty, but they star in their roles." He emphasized the need for more consistency from Bennedict Mathurin and increased production from Obi Toppin to match up against the Thunder's depth and versatility.
Adding to the challenge, Buckner pointed out Oklahoma City's defensive strength and their ability to excel in transition play. "Defensively, OKC can really challenge you, and they can run with you in transition. It would be a very difficult series," he stated, highlighting the uphill battle the Pacers might face.
The Thunder, who made the NBA Finals in 2012 but lost to the Miami Heat in five games, have proven to be resilient and potent. During their 2012 Finals run, key players Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and James Harden combined to average 68.4 points, 12.7 rebounds, and 12.7 assists per game.
The current Oklahoma City team features a young roster, with an average age of 24.7 years, making them the second-youngest team in the NBA, just behind Portland which has an average age of 24.3 years. This youthful energy could be a critical factor in their performance this season.
