An American tourist has confessed to the heinous crimes of raping and murdering a fellow US hiker at a viewing point near Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria, Germany. The incident occurred when the accused, Bohling, met two female tourists at the world-famous castle that served as the inspiration for Disney's Sleeping Beauty. During a hike, Bohling offered to take the women to a romantic spot for selfies, claiming it had a better view of the castle.

Tragically, the situation escalated when Bohling pushed Ms Liu to the ground, where he raped her, followed by a scuffle during which Ms Chang was pushed into a ravine. Bohling proceeded to strangle Ms Liu with a belt while filming the act. The crimes were interrupted by a couple of hikers who stumbled upon the scene, resulting in the rape victim being pushed over the same ledge while unconscious.

The victim of rape sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to the hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries later that night. Miraculously, Ms Chang survived the fall as it was broken by a tree. Neuschwanstein Castle is a popular tourist destination, attracting over a million visitors each year. Commissioned in the 19th century by King Ludwig II and left unfinished due to the king's debt, the castle remains one of Germany's most visited sites.
