### Allegiant Introduces Affordable Nonstop Routes to 51 Cities
Allegiant Travel Company, traded on NASDAQ as ALGT, has announced an impressive expansion of its services, adding 44 new nonstop routes. This includes connections to three new cities: Gulf Shores, Alabama; Colorado Springs, Colorado; and Columbia, South Carolina, offering fares as low as $39 one-way. These routes will commence in February 2025 and expand across 51 cities, providing budget-conscious travelers with more options to visit popular vacation destinations.
Drew Wells, Allegiant's chief commercial officer, emphasized the company's commitment to affordability and convenience in air travel. By adding more cities to their network, Allegiant aims to cater to the increasing demand for low-cost airfare, particularly for those visiting family and friends or exploring prime leisure spots. The new cities further enhance the airline's ability to offer more accessible travel options.
Some highlights of the new routes include flights from Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) starting on February 7, 2025, with fares beginning at $79. Additionally, new connections to Colorado Springs Airport (COS) include routes from Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (AZA) at $49, starting February 12, 2025, and from John Wayne Airport, Orange County (SNA) at $59 beginning February 13, 2025.
Travelers to and from Florida will also benefit from new expansions. Routes from Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) include flights to destinations such as Greenville/Spartanburg, South Carolina with fares starting at $49 and Albany, New York at $69, both beginning on February 13 and 14, 2025 respectively. Another notable route is from Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport (CHA) to Punta Gorda Airport (PGD) starting February 13, 2025, with fares as low as $49.
In addition to these new routes, Allegiant is expanding its footprint to Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE) in South Carolina with new flights to Daytona Beach/Sanford (SFB) and Fort Lauderdale (FLL) beginning in May 2025. Fares for these routes start at $39 and $49, respectively. Other new connections include flights to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Gulf Shores International Airport, Alabama, broadening travel options across several regions.
This significant expansion not only reflects Allegiant’s commitment to serving underserved communities but also highlights the airline's strategic focus on periods of high leisure demand like holidays and school breaks. With new connections to airports such as Denver International Airport (DEN), Boston Logan International Airport (BOS), and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), Allegiant continues to make leisure travel more affordable and accessible to a wider audience.
